Ross Lara is not your usual up and coming music producer and DJ. A graduate of Full Sail University, Ross didn’t wait until graduation day to start making musical moves. He has been working with SECTR24, his partnership with cousin, Stephen Coleman. To extend his talent, he set off to work with some major DJ names including BT, Roger Shah and AK1200. Trance music, Electronica and melodic song writing fill his music resume, as well as, music producer. His most recent work involved work with Bill Hammel, Warner Bros./Reprise records to remix a chain of songs that topped the Billboard charts such as Erika Jayne’s “Pretty Mess” #1 hit! He has a gift of mixing genres and sounds to pack a dancefloor or be your afternoon groove while working away the day.

Building on this empire of talent, Ross has teamed up with artist/producer, Nick Sharp. The two are known as the duo Wentworth and Mordemere and released their first EP collaboration “Dust Off The Dance Floor.” This sound goes back to the trance and electronica roots with a mix of rock and a touch of pop music. The team has managed to add serious flavor and knock out the boredom of sounding like everybody else on the scene. The hottest track, “Drop That Baseline, Feat. Terror Dactel” blends that dance music tone, bass drops, drum crescendos worthy of laser light and flashes of the stutter effect. The “Pacific Coast Highway” track and video will put you in the cruising mood to be on the Miami shoreline ready to surf or take in the nightlife. The many talents of one man early in his life mission to bring the music and share the love through sound, vision and creativity.

For all the DC animal lovers this event is sure to rock the mind! If you are single and looking or a couple seeking some new fire, Cupid The Matchmaker will be all about the love to raise funds for Fashion For Paws, a Washington Humane Society fashion event in support of our less fortunate furry friends. Who’s heading this pre-valentine’s day match making soiree? Stef Woods and Jennifer Barrett, two Fashion For Paws volunteer models raising money to help Washington Humane Society.

For a $20 donation and an evening at Degrees Bar & Lounge of Ritz-Carlton Hotel, you get access to a sexy crowd, relationship advice from DCMatchmaking‘s Michelle Jacoby, a Lotus Blooms Kama Sutru kit for couples and even adoptable pets onsite from Washington Humane Society. All donations go directly to WHS for continued support of their programs to save the animals.

DJ Neekola is making her mark as a DJ and producer with her first full album production. She has been in the DJ world spinning tracks from DC to Ibiza and created a few remixes of her own. To top it off she even has her own iPhone application for music fans to keep up with the world of all things DJ Neekola! The DC nightlife can’t get enough of her when you see she is booked for the sexiest gigs including fashion events, high end retail stores, nightlife venues and major events such as the recent Big Night DC New Years Eve 2010 event. A fun and spunky attitude mixed with a business mind that gives to the community and reaches for her life dreams is one way to describe DJ Neekola. Hearing her spin live will leave you dancing and tapping to a beat long after you have left the dance floor.
